Each club has qualities that are unique to them. Some specialize in the beginner classes, some offer dance and acrobatics as parts of their programs and others have programs geared to elite athletes as well.
Clubs are run out of schools, churches, community centres and their own centres depending on their membership numbers and area of the city.
Most beginner classes will offer a badge program which is a series of classes constructed as an introduction to Baton Twirling fundamentals and is perfect for all ages of beginner twirlers. These classes offer badges when certain levels have been attained.
From the badge classes you can progress to the Pre-Competitive program which is designed to develop the concepts necessary to participate in the Competitive Program. Athletes may participate in the following graded events : Pre-Group Routine, Basic March, Forward Motion, Pre-Medley, Pre-Solo, Pre-Solo Dance and Pre-2-Baton.
The Competitive Program is designed to develop athletes from the beginning 'C' Level of competition, through to the Level 'A' Championship Events, in both individual and team events.
